The brief for this 100ft garden was to create a practical space intended for both adults and children. This required particular consideration to ensure all the family's needs were met. The design reflects both contemporary and traditional elements in keeping with the interior of the house.

The circular stone and brick terrace has been defined by a rendered retaining wall to create an enclosed entertaining area. A polished steel curtain water feature provides a striking focal point. From the lawn a brick path leads to a circular hardwood decked seating/dining area surrounded by bamboos and grasses. A Chinese slate water feature has been positioned alongside the deck where the tranquil sound of running water can be absorbed. The green oak pergola leads the eye from the deck to the play area providing a clear view to watch the children play. Planting is verdant with palms, ferns and colour provided by spring/summer and autumn perennials.
